Biography

Aaron Sarma is an accomplished entrepreneur with expertise in technology, digital media, and retail. In 2015, he founded Touristly (later rebranded as Vidi), which was successfully acquired by AirAsia in 2017. During his tenure, he held diverse roles, including COO of AirAsia.com and contributing to the development of travel3Sixty and BigLife. In 2019, he joined the Malaysia Digital Economy Corporation as a consultant, focusing on national strategy papers. Presently, he serves as General Partner at ScaleUp Malaysia, a renowned accelerator dedicated to empowering startups to achieve exponential growth. Additionally, in 2020, he co-founded Remote Ventures, a venture builder that supports early-stage entrepreneurs through technology assistance and seed funding. He is fervently committed to technology's transformative impact on society, actively participating as a speaker at conferences and events, while occasionally sharing my insights on Malaysia's digital landscape through published commentaries.
