Biography

Aaron Sarma is an entrepreneur, venture investor, and digital transformation leader with deep expertise in technology, retail, mobility, and startup growth. He founded Touristly, later rebranded as Vidi, which was successfully acquired by AirAsia in 2017 and fully integrated into the group in 2019. During his AirAsia tenure, he served in leadership roles including COO of AirAsia Superapp and contributed to the growth of AirAsia.com, travel3Sixty, and BIG Loyalty.

Today, Aaron is General Partner at ScaleUp Malaysia, one of the country’s leading accelerators, where he has helped back and scale dozens of startups. He also co-founded Remote Ventures, a venture studio supporting founders with technology, validation, and seed funding. In parallel, he works on digital ecosystem and green mobility initiatives at Gentari. Aaron is a sought-after speaker on entrepreneurship, AI in business, digital ecosystems, startup scaling, and innovation-led growth.
